Network Security professionals have a much harder job now than 10 years ago. The amount of tools at the fingertips of malicious hacktivists or threat actors TA's is undeniably at its highest. Many of these TA's are hacking for fun, money, power, greed, crime and or terrorism. Our solutions to protect us are also getting stronger and more sophisticated. However what is very hard to keep up with is educating our users. You could plan for months and spend millions of dollars in IT Security but if you do not train employees what to look for and what not to click or be drawn too we are all "pissing in the wind" as my father would say. Employee cyber security training needs to be an integral part of IT Security policy and bugdeting. It only takes one user to let a TA in and it's game over!
